Why We’re Open About Our Model

ICON has been designed as a hub that supports the entire single-use consumables system — hospitals, suppliers, and ultimately, patients. To do that well, we believe in being transparent about how our income will be used. All profits made by ICON will be split into four equal parts, each serving a clear purpose.

25% reinvested into ICON

This will cover the costs of running the testing service itself: employee time, equipment, reporting, platform development, and administration. It ensures the service remains sustainable and independent as we grow.

25% to marketing

Marketing isn’t just about promoting ICON — it will grow the single-use market as a whole.

  • For suppliers, it means a larger customer base and wider adoption of single-use consumables.
  • For hospitals and procurement teams, it will bring more choice and easier access to tested suppliers, helping optimise system reliability.

25% to ICON ambassadors

We will partner with selected distributors, suppliers, and organisations in different regions to promote ICON worldwide. Each ambassador will be given a unique discount code to share with their network, and they will receive 25% of the profit generated through their code. This supports local growth, encourages adoption, and extends ICON access internationally.

25% to charity

The final quarter will be donated to charitable causes. This ensures ICON creates a positive impact beyond the single-use system.

Our First Donation

ICON’s first charity donation will be £2,517.75. This is just the beginning — as ICON grows, these contributions will grow with it.

Why This Matters

Every part of the profit split has a purpose:

  • Hospitals gain support and better product insight
  • Suppliers gain reach and accountability
  • Estates teams gain performance clarity
  • The wider community benefits through charitable support

Takeaway

ICON’s approach is simple: what comes in is shared out, with benefits for hospitals, suppliers, and the wider market. By keeping this split transparent, everyone will know how the system is being supported — and that with every report viewed, every test completed, and every subscription purchased, a portion will always be given back.
