A batch check can confirm if the issue is due to the consumable, a specific batch, or something else. This evidence can then be shared with estates or procurement for resolution.

Consumables are assessed across three different phases, including basic, stress and complementary tests. Grades are issued based on maceration performance and debris size.

Does ICON testing guarantee effectiveness at my site?

Tests simulate realistic conditions, but real use can involve higher volumes and variability. Triple testing is recommended for the most reliable results. Small manufacturing differences between macerators, even of the same brand, may also cause minor variations.

What is within the scope of testing?

Our testing focuses solely on how well a product macerates under controlled conditions. It does not assess patient safety, usability, machine reliability, operating costs, or other factors beyond maceration performance.
